Nancy Putnam

Keynote Speaker: Nancy Putnam
Director of Ecology & ACEC Programs
Department of Conservation & Recreation

Topic: DCR Ecology Projects and Priorities

Nancy Putnam is Director of the Ecology and ACEC Programs at DCR. Her background includes many years working as an Ecologist for the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife and prior to that for The Nature Conservancy. For MassWildlife Nancy contributed to the Natural Heritage & Endangered Species Program BioMap project and also worked as a Forest Ecologist for the Forestry Program. In addition she has extensive environmental permitting experience in Massachusetts, working on both the local and state levels administering the wetlands and rare species regulations and conducting outreach for Conservation Commissions. Nancy has a Master of Science degree from UMASS where she focused on Forest Ecology.
